ABOUT NADIA'S PAIGE
Our Brand
Nadia's Paige is a family-owned art and photography boutique founded by Ken and Tessa. The concept of Nadia's Paige was developed in 2009 for a business proposal that we never really thought would come to fruition. Although it has taken some time, we are proud to finally embark on this new journey as small-business owners. This has been an arduous process, but it has also been a rewarding process. We would like to thank everyone for stopping by our website and browsing our work. We would also like to thank everyone that has supported our journey thus far. Coloring pages, photography, stickers, and much more will be featured on our website. In the meantime, get to know a little bit about us!
Tessa
Hello there! My name is Tessa. I am a self-taught photographer with seven years of experience. I was quite the little shutterbug growing up. Taking photos of people navigating the hustle and bustle of everyday life has always captured my interest. There is something beautiful in the simplicity of ordinary people and authentic moments; therefore, street photography (sometimes referred to as candid photography) is my focus. Dorothea Lange and Carrie Mae Weems are a few notable photographers that inspire me. Dorothea Lange’s iconic photo of Florence Owens Thompson, and Carrie Mae Weems Kitchen Table Series are the embodiment of visual story telling. My husband and I are military veterans. We have been all over the world. The photos captured on our website document our journey. We are more than thrilled to be able to share our memories with you. Welcome to Nadia’s Paige.
Ken
Hello! My name is Ken. I feel as though my artistic skill is decent. As with all artists, my inspiration began in my early teens when I opened the pages of Uncanny X-men. The X-men drew my interest due to the nature of their plight; they were mutants born with extraordinary, and sometimes dangerous, powers and, as such, they were the outcasts of society and feared by regular humans. The issues were #141-142, “Days of Future Past”. It was written by one of the most admired comic artists of all time, John Byrne. From there it was downhill. I gobbled up anything from X-men, Thor, Wolverine, Batman, Superman, etc. From 80’s comic icons like Byrne, John Romita Sr., Frank Miller, and John Buscema, to 90’s artists like Jim Lee, Todd McFarlane, Whilce Portacio, and Greg Capullo. From there, I started to establish my own style of linework, with a heavy emphasis on crosshatching to portray a strong direction of light. You can find examples in the form of coloring pages, however; I tend to minimize the linework in order to allow colorists to interpret the page in their own way.
We would like to thank you for your support. Whether you are here to simply browse our work, or make a purchase, you are appreciated.
